ABOUT GIANA

Hi I'm Giana!

Avid collector of memories. Polaroids, postcards, and love notes live in my journals and between pages as bookmarks. I try to romanticize the smallest parts of daily life. It’s easy to find beauty when you slow down – you notice the small flower growing through the cracks in the sidewalk, you take time to connect with the barista at your local coffee haunt.
This is the heart of my photography. It’s slowing down and noticing what often goes unnoticed and making it meaningful. I love watching the way grass sways in the wind or dappled light that falls on the sidewalk. My earliest subjects were small details like my favorite flowers in the garden and flurries of snow.
At a young age I pictured myself, white water rafting through the Grand Canyon, camera in hand. I dreamt of becoming a NatGeo documentary photographer. I now find myself drawing inspiration from art (specifically impressionism, art nouveau, and stained glass), flowers and gardening, hiking, and good food. In my free time you’ll find me walking my dog Auburn, snagging brunch at my favorite diner, meandering around the shops of Crompton Collective, or trying to learn a hobby.
